Carl Vestal Walker

Carl Veatal Walker was born March 7, 1908 in Yell Twsp. Benton Co., Ar.
to James Nelson & Gertrude "Girtie" K. Gallahan Walker.
September 29, 1928 he married Elizabeth Ann Herring at Fort Smith, Sebastian
Co., Ar. where they both lived at that time. They divorced June 12, 1933 in
Sebastian Co., Ar. January 11, 1941 he married Pauline Harris
Hill at Fort Smith Arkansas.
October 16, 1940 Carl registered for the military draft at the Junior High
School in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He enlisted in the US Army April 6, 1942. He
says he has a grammar school education. He served until Junne 18, 1945.
His rank was Cpl.
Carl Veatal Walker passed away March 7, 1908 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co.,
Ar. His burial was in the National Cemetery there.
