Harry William Thurston was born April 19, 1914 at McKean, Pennsylvania to
Ward William & Irene Grinnell Thurston. June 13, 1935 he married
Flora Mae Mawson at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co, Ar. where they both resided.
Harry registered for the military draft on October 16, 1940 at Belle Point School
in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He enlisted in the US Navy October 1, 1942 and served
until October 27, 1945. More abcout his service is below in his biography.
Harry William Thurston passed away August 23, 1986 at Joplin,
Jasper Co., Missouri. His burial was in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery there.
