Harry William Thurston was born April 19, 1914 at Kane. Ward 1, McKean Co.,
Pennsylvania to Edward William & Irene Grinnell Thurston.
June 13, 1935 he married Flora May Mawson in Sebastian Co., Arkansas, both
being residents of Fort Smith,, Sebastian Co., Ar.
October 16, 1940 Harry registered for the military draft at Belle Point
School in Fort Smith. October 1, 1942 he enlisted in the US Navy and served until
October 27, 1945. Nothing more is found about his service except from the biography
below.
Harry William Thurston passed away on August 23, 1986 at Joplin, Jasper County,
Missouri, His burial was in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery there. He owned a
bakery there.
