Claude Holger Terry was born October 19, 1919 at Marion, Grant Co.,
Indiana to Sidney Omar & Lillian Louise Miller Terry.
December 16, `1939 he married Mildred Mae Standridge at Fort Smith,
Sebastian Co., Ar., both being residents there.
Claude registered for the military draft at Los Angeles, California. No date was
on the draft record. According to the "US Veterans' Gravesites" records he
enlisted June 15, 1937 and served until October 22, 1940. His biography below
gives much more about his service in the Merchant Marines which lasted until 1945.
He left the service with the rank of Lieutenant.
Claude Holgar Terry passed away September 18, 1966 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co.,
Arkansas. His burial was in the Fort Smith National Cemetery there.
