William Robert Studdard 1920-1993
William Robert Studdard was born November 28, 1920 in Hartford, Sebastian Co., Ar.
to James Marion and Mary Etta Cunningham Studdard.
January 11, 1948 he married Jessie Mae Starr at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co.,
Ar. They divorced June 1, 1948. September 25, 1948 he married Mrs. Patsy Ruth
Brandli Smith at Crawford County Arkansas.
William enlisted in the US Army January 6, 1943. He served in the Field Artillery,
coming in from the National Guard. He states he has completed 4 years of high
school and his civil occupation was "Packing, filling, labeling, marking,
bottling". Nothing more is known about his service

William Robert "Bob" Studdard, 72 of Fort Smith died Saturday, March 6, 1993 at
his home.
He was a radio and television technician, a member of the Trinity Baptist Church,
choir member, Sunday school teacher, a 32nd degree Mason at Sebastian Lodge no.
706, a member of the radio collectors club and served in the U.S. Army in World
War II.
He was survived by his wife, Pat; two daughters, Patti Penix and Fran Studdard,
both of Fort Smith; two sons, Fred Brandli Sr. of Alma and Robin Studdard of
Fort Smith; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Lewis Funeral Chapel with burial at Woodlawn
Memorial Park.
