James Alvis and Katie Ethel Walton Stockton. November 10, 1939
he married Pearl Emeline Massengale at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
August 21, 1945 they divorced there.
William registered for the military draft at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. on
October 16, 1940. His residence at that time was Coke Hill, Fort Smith, Ar.
He enlisted in the US Army June 18, 1942 at Camp Josepth T Robinson in Little
Rock, Arkansas. He states he has a grammar school education and his civil
ocupation was "unskilled construction occupations."
