Elmer Peter Scalet

Elmer Peter Scalet was born January 24, 1917 in Hartford, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Giuseppe "Joseph" & Andreanna Notta Scalet. February 11, 1946 he
married Marilyn Ruth Esh at Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan. They divorced
in February 1970 at Santa Clara, California.
October 16, 1940 Elmer registered for the military draft a Highland Park, Wayne Co.,
Michigan. He enlisted in the US Air Force January 8, 1942 and served until
July 31, 1961. In the San Jose, California 1972 City Directory he is listed as
Scalet, Elmer P. LtCol 10204 Bonny Dr.
Ralph Paul Smoot passed away June 17, 1923 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. with
his burial being at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.

Ralph Paul Smoot, 85, of Greenwood died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in his home.
He was a retired Army veteran of World War II.
Graveside service was held on Friday at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith
under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma; six daughters, Becky Moore, Linda Dunn and
Diane Smoot, all of Greenwood, Judy Johnson of Huntington, Janie Wilhite of
Muldrow and Ursula Boob of Germany; a son, Randy Smoot of Muldrow;
13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
