Steve Samarzich, Jr
1911-1998
Steve Samarzich, Jr. was born July 2, 1911 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Steve Sr. & Agnes Karz Samarzich. May 27, 1939 he married Grace Ellen
Quillman in Sebastian Co., Ar. His residence at that time was St. Louis, Missouri.
October 16, 1940 Steve registered for the military draft at St. Louis,
Missouri. He enlisted in the US Army April 28, 1943. His discharge was on
December 23, 1945. On the USS Muhlenbert Victory manifest below he is listed as
being part of the 355th Infantry Regiment. His biography below gives a
different group he served with.
Steve Samarzich, Jr. passed away March 28, 1998. He was buried in
the Fort Smith National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Arkansas.
