Allen Riley Russell
1913-1981
Allen Riley Russell was born January 10, 1913 at Jenny Lind, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Ambrose Elbert & Gertrude Ethel Dodson Russell. December 22, 1934
he married Mary Eulema Best. July 2, 1946 they divorced.
October 16, 1940 Allen registered for the miitary draft at Belle Grove School in
Fort Smith, Sebastian Co, Ar. He enlisted in the US Army November 1943 and
served until January 15, 1946. After his divorce he is found on the 1950 census
living on the Ford Ord Military Reservation at Monterey, California. Nothing
more has been found about any later service. His final rank was Sgt.
Allen Riley Russell passed away July 14, 1981 at Fort Smith,
Sebastian Co.. Ar. His burial was in the National Cemetery at Fort Smith.
