Jack Leon Lance Price 1923-2009
John Leon Lance Price was born January 16, 1923 in Pasadena, Los
Angeles Co., California. to Lyndon Myron & Ruth Eileen Phelps
Lance. John Irvin Price was his step father. The 1940 census
shows his last name as Lance but that is the last record that shows that
last name for him. March 26, 1950 John married Ruth Ann Eulitt, both being
residents there.
June 29, 1942 Jack registered for the military draft at Fort Smith, Seastian Co.,
Ar. He enlisted with the Air Force, or the Army Air Corps as it was called at that time. .

Jack Leon Lance Price passed away April 10, 2009 at Fort Smith, Arkansas. His
burial was in the Fort Smith National Cemetery.

Jack Leon Price, 86, of Fort Smith. Ar. entered into rest on Friday April
10, 2009 in Fort Smith, Ar. He was born Jan. 16, 1923 in Pasadena, California.
He was retired from Douglas McDonald Borning Aircraft, a member of First Baptist
Church of Fort Smith, in the Army Air Corp, a member of the American Legion
Ellig-Stoufer Post 31 in Fort Smith, amateur Radio Association, WW11 Bombadier-
Rank Warrant Officer, Minister of Music SW Baptist Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas,
Major in the Civil Air Patrol, taught Ham Radio at West-Ark, Bank Director at
Senior High in the 1990's, 32nd degree mason, and a deacon at First Baptist
Church, Fort Smith.
Preceded in death by John I Price and a sister, Sondry Gibson and a widower of
the late Ruth Eulitt Price and a daughter Patricia Exendine. He is survived by
a daughter, Carol Price of Fort Smith, a son, John F. Price of Tulsa, Ok., two
sisters, Billie Bair of Fort Smith, Beverly Reid of Eufaula, Ok, and a brother,
Tom Price of Broken Arrow, Ok. and two grandchildren. Memorial service will be
10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the U.S. National Cemetery with burial
of cremains at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ar.
