James Leroy Perryman was born June 1, 1924 at Alma, Crawford Co., Ar. to John Alex & Edna Mae Davis Perryman. They later moved to Central City, Sebastian Co., Ar. where James attended high school at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. November 19, 1944 he married Claribel Horton at Washita, Oklahoma. The license was from Barling, Sebastian Co., Ar. where they both resided at that time. James enlisted in the US Navy January 12, 1945. No draft registration cards were found. His final rank was Aom2 or Aviation Ordianceman PO2. He served until January 2, 1946. James passed away Oct. 11, 2004, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
