Odis Clayton Peoples, Jr. was born at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Odis Clayton, Sr. & Ruth M. Been Peoples. July 19, 1941 he married Betty Raye Cantrell from Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar.

June 30, 1942 Odis registered for the military draft at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. February 23, 1945 Otis enlisted in the US Army at Camp Josepth T. Robinson in Little Rock, Arkansas. A hospital admittance card from an aid station dated December 1945 says he had a reaction to a vaccine. He was released to duty January 1946. His military branch was listed as Quartermaster Corps.
The Army expanded to over eight million Soldiers by 1945; and all of them required support from the Quartermaster Corps. The Quartermaster General supervised the initial construction for the war effort including training camps and ammunition production facilities. Within the United States, the Quartermaster Corps procured clothing and equipment for climates ranging from arctic to tropical.

Odis Clayton Peoples, Jr. passed away November 18, 2003 at Garden Grove, Orange Grove, California. His burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park there.
