Billy Presson Martin was born October 8, 1922 at Mansfield, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Joe Justin & Marie Presson Martin. July 6, 1944 he married
Betty Jo Parkbell of Long Beach, California in Scott Co., Ar.
Billy registered for the military draft in Sebastian Co, Ar. June , 1942. He
enlisted in the US Navy October 20, 1940 and served until October 13, 1945. His
last rank was EM2 or Engineman Second Class. At least part of that time
he served on the USS Portland. The link to her story in WWII is at
the bottom of this page. Every move and battle between 1941-1945 and
several photos.
Billy Presson Martin passed away Jauary 1, 1992 with burial at
Coop Prairie Cemetery,MMansfield, Scott Co., Ar.
