Billy Presson Martin was born October 8, 1922 at Mansfield, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Joseph Justin & Marie Presson Martin. Marie died Feb. 21, 1926 at
Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. of Pneumonia.
Billy's step mother was Altha Lea McQuery Martin.
July 6, 1944 in Mansfield, Scott Co. Billy married Betty Jo Parkbell
from Long Beach, California. The marriage was in Sebastian Co., Ar.
June 30, 1942 Billy registered for the military draft at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. He
enlisted in the US Navy October 20, 1942 and served until Ocober 13, 1945. Some of his Navy
muster rolls are below. His rank EM2 is Electrician's Mate.

Billy Presson Martin passed away January 1, 1992 with his burial being
in Coop Prairie Cemetery, Mansfield, Scott Co., Ar.
