R. Vernon Earnest Kuykendall Sr
1928-2014
R. Vernon Earnest Kuykendall Sr. was born October 5, 1928 at Prairie Grove,
Washington Co, Arkansas to Walter Lee & Alta Clementine Smith Kuykendall.
October 5, 1948 he married Dolores Thornburg at Crawford County, Ar. Both were
residents of Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
November 27, 1945 he enlisted in the US Army Calvary at Fort Smith, Sebastian
Co., Ar. He states he has a grammar school education and his civil occupation is
general farming. Nothing more is known about his service.
R.Vernon Earnest Kuykendall Sr passed away January 20, 2014 at Fort Smith,
Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in the National Cemetery there.

R.V. Earnest Kuykendall Sr., 85, of Fort Smith died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, in Fort Smith.
He was born Oct. 5, 1928, in Prairie Grove.
He was a Baptist and owner of Tree Service Co. and Pest Control.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three daughters, Sherry Jones, Trena Beckham and Teirra Ellis, all of Fort Smith; four sons, Mark, Terry and Robert Kuykendall and Shawn Ellis, all of Fort Smith; and more than 40 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
