John Doye Jones

John Doye Jones was born February 26, 1926 in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Arkansas.
The only child of Authur Merle "Doc" & Gladys Irene Clark Jones.
December 24, 1955 he married Nora Jean Boyd Richards in Sebastian Co., Ar.
John registered for the military draft February 7, 1944 at Dumas, Moore Co., Texas
where he was employed with Shell Cemeical. He enlisted in the US Army Air Force May 10, 1944
at Camp Josepth T Robinson at Little Rock, Arkanss. His residence at that time was Fort Smith, Sebastian
Co., Ar. He states he has completed 4 years of high school and his civil occupation
was "Semiskilled occupations in production of industrial chemicals". From
his biography below we learn that he was injuted in the line of duty. No
discharge date for him has been found. John Doye Jones passed away May 14,
1995 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park
in Fort Smith.
