Honree Lee Johnson was born July 23, 1912 at Burnville, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Bunyon Max & Maude Hamilton Johnson. July 12, 1941 Honree,
residing at Jenny Lind, Sebaetian Co., Ar., married Marcell Cross from
Witcherville, Sebastian Co., Ar.
October 16, 1940 Honree registered for the military draft at Jenny Lind,
Arkansas. He states his height is 6' 6". The registrar made a note on
the card that says...."In my opinion he isn't over 5' 8" tall." He also stated
on his enlistment that he had completed 3 years of high school and his civil occupation was
unskilled construction worker. He enlisted in the US Army June 4, 1942 at Camp
Josepth T Robinson at Little Rock, Ar. He served until December 24, 1945.
Honree Lee Johnson passed away June 6, 1972, His burial was in Liberty
Cemetery, Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar.
