Claude Harlan James was born July 19. 1921 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Claude Fair & Josephinse "Jocie" Riley James. Decenber 18, 1945 he
married Dorothy Lucille Slack Cumbee at Fort Smith, Arkansas.
February 15, 1942 Claude registered for the military draft at Seattle Washington
where he was employed by Boening Airrcaft. He enlisted in the US Army Air Force February 2, 1944
and served until October 26, 1945. His grave marker just says Army. Nothing more
is found about his service.
Claude Harlan James passed away June 27, 1988 at Shawnee, Pottawatomie, Ok,
His burial was in Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
