Forrest Milton Holland

Forrest Milton Holland was born August 16, 1921 in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Walter Atlas & Eddra May Rooney Holland. June 14, 1947 he married
Sophia Gertrude Decker from Jenny Lind, Sebastian Co., Ar. His residence
at that time was Forr Sill, Comanche, Oklahoma.
Forrest registered for the military draft February 16, 1942 in Sebastian Co., Ar.
He enlisted in the US Army July 6, 1942 and served until December 8, 1945. He
again enlisted in the Army June 6, 1960 and served until January 31, 1964.
On tihe 1950 census he and his wife are found in Lawton, Cmanche, Oklahoma and
he is serving in the miliary at that time. And in the 1957 Fort Smith, Ar. City
Directory he is listed as still serving. His final discharge date was January
31, 1964.
Forrest Milton Holland passed away September 23, 1981 at the age of 60.
His burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
