Edwin Joseph Hensen was born October 12, 1915 at Paris, Logan Co., Ar. to
Joseph John & Jakobin Mary Etykorn Hensen. July 8, 1941 he married Mary
Louise Shigley in Sebastian Co., Arkansas. Both were residents of
Fort Smith, Sebastian County.
October 16, 1940 Edwin registered for the military draft at the Junior High
School in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. At that time he was employed by Gabel
Tire and Supply on Towson Ave., Fort Smith. July 12, 1942 he enlisted in the US
Army. He served until January 2, 1946. Nothing more is found about his time
in the service except what is in his biography below.
Edwin Joseph Hensen passed away March 30, 1969 at Fort Smith, Arkansas.
His burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith.
