John Henry Harris was born February 9, 1920 at Cecil, Franklin Co., Ar. to James "Jim" & Ida Irene Sivilis Harris. Before April 24th, 1940, the date the 1940 census was taken, he married Geneva M. Stamper. John registered for the military draft at Button Willow Kern Co., California July 1, 1941. He enlisted in the US Army October 10, 1941 and served until November 24, 1945. Nothing more is known about his service. John passed away March 4,1987 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in Island Cemetery east of Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.
