Guy Edmond "Hoot" Gipson was born September 5, 1924 at Island, Sebastian Co., Ar. to John Kelly, a WWI veteran. & Beulah A. Hopkins Gipson. In Kern County, California. March 5, 1946 he received a marriage license to marry Helen Juanita Stamper at Buttonwillow, Kern Co., California. Guy registered for the military draft at Wasco, California. No date is on his registration card. He enlisted with the US Arny November 8, 1945 and served until December 5, 1946. Nothing more is found about his service. Guy passed away August 8, 2002 in Kern Co., California. His burial was in Wasco District Cemetery in Wasco, California.
