William Farris Ervin 1923-2009

William Farris Ervin was born July 30, 1919 in either Arkansas, Louisiana or
Mississippi, depending on which record you use, to William B. & Marjorie
"Margie" Linscott Ervin. He married Doris Ann Armstrong from California. No date
has been found.
William registered for the military draft August 27, 1945 at Riverside, California. This was his
second regigstration as it states "discharged from Army". It mentions a scar on his left leg. That
would have been from his wound in his previous service from which he was given a medical discharge.
His first registration card has not been found.
William Farris Ervin passed away 4, 2008 at San Bernardino, San Bernardino, California. His
burial was in Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, San Bernardino Co., California.

William F. Irvin of San Bernardino, a native of Watson, Arkansas, lived in San Bernardino
for 62 years, passed away December 4 at Jerry L. Lewis Memorial Veterans Medical Center in Loma
Linda at the age of 89. He was a firefighter on the flight line at Norton Air Force Base and also
worked with Campus Crusade for Christ in the Conference Center and was a member of Immanuel
Baptist Chirch. He is survived by his wife, Doris, three daughters, two grandchildren, two
great-grandchildren. Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. at Harrison-Ross Mortuaries Chapel in
San Bernardino with interment to follow at Montecito Memorial Park.
