Charles Edward Dunn was born January 1, 1928 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Francis Elmer & Opal Mary Robertson Dunn. October 18, 1949 he married Charlene M. Williams of Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. His residence was Greenwood.

May 24, 1946 Charles enlisted in the US Army. He served until November 14, 1946. His final rank was Pfc.

Charles passed away August 30, 2005 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, Oklahoma.

Charles Edward Dunn, 77, of Rock Island passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2005, in Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born January 1, 1928, in Greenwood. He was a radiator and beauty supply and heat and air conditioning business owner and operator. Me Dunn was a veteran of both the Army and the 188th Air National Guard. He was a dual member of the Masonic Temple Lodge in Fort Smith and the Moshulatubbe Lodge in Cameron, the American Legion, Shriners, UCT, Bagman and Amarita Grotto and member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Moshulatubbe, serving as Worthy Patron for 10 years. He was a jack of all trades and loved gardening, traveling all over, and singing, especially at Jenny Lind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Frances and Opal Mary Dunn; and two sisters, Mary Dunn and Virginia Lewis.

Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday September 2, 2005, at Rock Island Community Church in Rock Island with burial at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron with the Rev. Brad Kuhl and the Rev. L.G. Williams officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, daughters and son-in-law, sons and daughters-in-law, three sisters, Betty Jean Dunn and Josephine Ruth Dunn and 10 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, Ava.
