Joe Sebren Douglas was born April 7, 1918 in Big Creek, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Alexander Henderson & Mattie "Rena" Lorena Card Douglas. He married Ola Mae Tackitt April 13, 1937 in Franklin Co., Ar. Both were residents of Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. Joe registered for the military draft October 16, 1940 at Island, Sebastian Co., Ar. He enlisted in the US Air Force August 1, 1944 at San Francisco, California serving until November 6,1945. Joe passed away December 23, 1951.The story is in the news clipping below.
