Chester Chevis Condry was born August 12, 1935 at Mansfield, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Chevis C. & Nellie May Reeves Condry. January 11, 1947 he married
Safronia Louise Norrid at Mnasfield, Sebastian Co., Ar.
Decemer 18, 1943 Chester enlisted in the US Army at Little Rock, Ar. He states on
his enlistment document he has a grammar school education and his civil occupation was
Skilled welders and flame cutters. He served until May 4, 1946. One record says he
served in the Korean war also. Nothing has been found to that effect.
Nothing more is found about his time in the service.
Chester Chevis Condry passed awayDecember 11, 2001 at
Greenwood, Sebastian, Arkansas. His burial was in Bull Cemetery at Greenwood.
