Warren Bryson Bull, Sr.
1906-1956
Warren Bryson Bull, Sr. was born June 4, 1906 in Greenville, South Carolina to
Warren Bricker & Carolyn Nickles Bull. Warren Bryson Sr is often
referred to as a "Jr." but several records show his father did not had the same
middle name as his son. July 22, 1933 Warren Sr. married Bess Shuford Lipscomb
at Spartanburg, South Carolina. A divorce record has not been found but she
married again in 1938 in So., Carolina, remaining there. Warren moved to
Sebastian Co., Ar. where he lived the rest of his life. He married Ellen Bailey.
They filed for divorce in 1956 but had it dismissed. A marriage date for them has
not been found.
October 16, 1940 Warren registered for the military draft in Spartanburg, SC.
He enlisted in the US Navy July 14, 1942 and served until September 29, 1945.
His rank was Cm2 or Carpenters Mate 2nd Class. His residence in 1950 was
Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. where he remained.
Warren Bryson Bull, Sr. passed away December 1, 1956 in Fort Smith,
Sebastian Co., Ar with his burial being in the National Cemetery there.

the exception of 1 muster that shows
he was sent back to the states
either wounded or ill on the J. Franklin Bell, an attack transport ship.
