Rilley Hampton Brown was born July 27,1921 at Shibley, Crawford Co., Ar. to James Sherman & Myrtle May Miller Brown. September 24, 1938 he married Mildred Mae Newman at Fort Smith, where they both resided. Rilley registered for the miitary draft February 16, 1942 at Fort Smith, Arkansas. He enlisted in the US Army September 16, 1944 and served until January 30, 1946. His final rank was Pfc. Rilley passed away September 30, 1990 with burial being at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
