Thomas "Tom" Layne Bonner was born October 17, 1924 at Charleston, Franklin Co.,
Ar. to Albert Richard & Dove Lorene Lane Bonner. December 13, 1941
he married Wilkie McKenzie at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. where they both
resided. March 2, 1956 he married Melba Dean Wilson at Fort Smith, Sebastian
Co., Ar.
Tom registered for the military draft December 18, 1942 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co.,
Ar. June 9, 1943 he enlisted in the US Air Force at Little Rock, Arkansas. His service
commenced June 23, 1943. He states he has completed 3 years of high school. He served until October 27, 1945. Nothing
more is known about his time in the service.
September 7, 1976 Thomas Layne Bonner passed away in Arkansas. His burial
was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
