Forrest Leo Bonner was born June 7, 1921 at Charleston, Franklin Co., Ar.
to Albert Richard & Dove Lorene Lane Bonner. July 8, 1950 he married
Virgie Mae Dunn Rye, both from Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. at that time. They
divorced July 20, 1955. His Find A Grave page shows her as his spouse still.
June 18, 1940 Forrest enlistted in the US Army and served until December 22, 1945.
For a second time Forrest registered for the military draft on December 27, 1945
at Fort Smith, Sebbastian Co., Ar. He states he was honorbaly discharged from
the US Army December 22, 1945. His earlier draft card has not been found.
In February 1944 he has a "Hospital Admission Card" but it gives no details.
He was discharged from the hospital the same month. His biography below
states he was wounded in action.
Forrest Leo Bonner passed away December 23, 1989. His
burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
