Ben Hopkins Bedwell was born January 14, 1922 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Ben Haas & Lois Ross Hopkins Bedwell. February 12, 1942 he married
Sara Katherine Whitlow at Fort Smith where both resided.
Aside from his listing in the "US Vererans' Gravesites" that says his rank was
First Lieutenant in the US Army Air Forces in WWII, the newspaper article below
and his headstone in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery nothing more is found
about his time in the service.
Ben Hopkins Bedwell passed away July 9, 2006 with burial in the
Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at St. Louis Missouri.
