Publications included: Charles X of France (1950); The Fall of Charles X of France: A Case Study of Revolution (1961); 1825: The Decisive Year of Charles X's Reign (1967); and, Charles X of France: His Life and Times (1971). Contributor to: Historical Dictionary on the French Revolution, 1789-1815; Historical Dictionary of Napoleonic France, 1789-1815; and, Historical Dictionary of the Restoration, 1814-1850. Recipient of the University of Colorado Robert L. Stern's Award in 1987 for extraordinary service and achievement. LT, U. S. Navy, World War II, from 1942 to 1946-served as a gunnery officer and participated in the landings at Salerno, Anzio, and Normany beach.
