James Morris Arp
1914-1990
James Morris Arp was born January 10, 1914 in Artesia Wells, La Salle County,
Texas, to James & Martha Adela Neisler Arp. August 28, 1940 he
married Velma Pearl Roy in Scott Co., Ar. Both were residents of Mansfield, Sebastian
Co., Ar.
James enlisted in the US Navy April 4, 1944 and served on the USS Patuxent until
December 24, 1945. The Patuxent was a Kennebec-class oiler and her day by day
history during the time James served can be found HERE.
James Morris Arp passed away September 25. 1990 at Spiro, LeFlore Co.,Oklahoma.
His burial was in Union Ridge Cemetery at Crossroads, Sebastian Co., Ae.
