James Charles Ainsworth, Sr. was born October 17, 1928 in Crawford Co., Ar. to William Henry & Matilda "Tilda" Pierce Ainsworth. June 28, 1948 in Sebastian Co., Ar. James married Betty Ann Shell of Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. James enlisted in the US Army with the rank of Private, February 6, 1946 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. Although his enlistment was in 1946 his military marker says he fought in WWII and Korea. He was discharged July 21, 1947 and re-enlisted June 26, 1948 serving until September 23, 1949. James Charles Ainswoth passed away June 11, 2001. He is buried at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
