TSgt Ray W "Buddy" White Jr. <1923 - 1950 TSgr Ray W. "Buddy" White, Jr. was born Jan 18 1923 to Ray W. White, Sr & Addie Beth Futral White. TSgt White was a Marine Pilot attached to Headquarters Squadron, 1st Marine Air Wing. On September 24, 1950, he was the pilot of a F4U-4 Corsair fighter being ferried from Okinawa to Itami Air Base, Japan. His aircraft collided mid-air with another aircraft. His body was not recovered.
