Leonard Wade Shackelford 1841-1935 Leonard Wade Shackelford was born October 16, 1841 in Mississippi to James Madison & Susan Fossett Shackleford. Ocrtobe 15. 1865 at Itawamba, Mississippi he married Matilda Catherine Stacey. September 1, 1861 at Iuka, Mississippi Leonard enlisted in the C.S.A. 26th Mississippi Company H. Many of his musters are below. He was wounded, he was taken prisoner and was in the hospital more than once. Leonard passed away October 30, 1935 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Arkansas. His burial was in Liberty Cemetery there.
