The Jones Cemetery is located on the Carnis-Auburn Road. You have to check in with Range Control prior to visiting this cemetery. They will give you directions to drive to this cemetery. The cemetery has been well maintained the last few years.
I did not find the fieldstone marked with E.R. in July 2008. There are approximately 30 gravesites marked with fieldstones. - Ron

Jones, George W. Mar 28, 1838 - Jun 27, 1863 From Find A Grave
George W. Jones was son of Sebastian County pioneer settlers,
John & Narcissus (Rutherford) Jones & brother of Eliza Harriet
Jones who married Rev Martin Alonzo East.

He was killed by southern bushwackers during the Civil War. A "family
tradition" related to me by the late Juanita (McLellan) Greenfield
of Fort Smith, Ar suggests that during the Civil War, Eliza (Jones) East
& other family members came home to find their brother George Jones
hanging from a tree on their father's place in Sebastian County.
They cut him down and buried him in the Jones/Hinton Cemetery. Another
tradition states he was shot while cradling wheat by those southern
sympathizer bushwackers & died in the arms of his wife Jane.

Official documents of their mother Narcissus's Civil War claims indicate
George Jones was shot by southern bushwackers while he was getting ready
to join the Union Army. His uncle Gus Rutherford was hanged by these
southern extremists & was also buried in the Jones Cemetery.
