   Dear Linda: I've been enjoying your site on argenweb and have an unidentified picture I'd like posted in your photo gallery.
This is a tin type; no identification whatsoever. The picture was cut down to fit inside of a Lucky Strike Tobacco Tin (the roll your own kind).
My great grandfather was unofficially adopted, born in Arkansas, and ongoing DNA studies indicate he had relatives in the Marion County area. At one time, he went to look for his natural parents and I'm wondering if he is who put the picture in the tin to carry in his pocket.
