GIBBINS - ARNOLD - John S. GIBBINS was found living in Jefferson Co Arkansas on the 1850 census. In 1853 he married Telitha ARNOLD in Jefferson Co. In 1857 they homesteaded land in the county. LOGAN - MAYS - BEY - I am trying to track down ancestors of Clearance LOGAN born 1935 (?) who changed his name legally in the 1960's to Mohammed BEY . His father was Willie and mother was Mary Ella (maiden?) Mohammed was married to Ophelia (MAYS) whose father was Alonzo MAYS and mother was Gertrude (maiden?) In the 1880 Coryell Co., TX Census, James B is found again, is married and has one daughter and a step-daughter; sister Malinda also is listed with them. What happened to the other persons listed? When she died, he married Mary Ann SNYDER DAVIS , his first wife’s sister, in New Madrid; they had one child. John’s first child was Edward C. NEWTON who married Mollie HUTT , daughter of Andre J. DAVIES - I am looking the the Davies family that was in Pine Bluff around 1882. William Davies and Caroline (Carrie) Walter were married in Pine Bluff at St. Joseph's on April 11 (June 25), 1882. WOOLLEY - Looking for information on the Woolley / Wooley family. Frank Woolley , wife, Avie Hyatt Woolley . WHITMIRE, BROWN,- Does anyone have any information on the family of William D. WHITMIRE (b abt 1818 GA) age 32 on the 1850 AR census. He m Ede(Edith)last name unknown. One of their sons, Henry (age 5),is my great Grandfather, I believe. Henry married Nancy Adeline BROWN in 1879. His age on the marriage record in Jeff. Co. is 24 and her age is 18. His ages do not match up but I do know that sometimes the census takers got spellings and ages, etc. wrong sometimes. Henry & Nancy's son, John Edward (Ed)b 1882 was my Grandfather. I believe William D's parents were Henry WHITMIRE & Tamah HICKMAN. Henry's father was Stephen (m Mary Porter), and Stephen's father was Michael Sr. from Germany (m Cathene).
