Clora Myrtle Parham
(June 11, 1933 - March 4, 2015)
Clora Myrtle Smith Parham, age 81 of Fordyce, Arkansas, formerly of Lewisville, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Fordyce. She was born on June 11, 1933 in Jacinto, Arkansas to Reverend Ray M. and Essie Jones Smith. Clora was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to care for and spend time with her family. She was an expert seamstress, genealogist, and family historian. Clora was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Chicot Trace Chapter, the Mayflower Society, and the American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary. Her greatest accomplishment was her family, numbering 31, with another on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Randolph Smith; sister, Rosie Jane Jones, and many other beloved family members.
Survivors include her husband since 1953, Edward Parham of Fordyce; two sons, Edward Ray Parham and wife Teresa of Camden and Rodney Jay Parham and wife Kim of Little Rock; three daughters, Carol Jane Wright and husband Neil of Lewisville, Susan Elaine Adams and husband Raymond of Texarkana, and Sandra Ann Turner and husband Steven of Sheridan; nine grandchildren, Stacy Breshears and husband Dan, Aaron Wright and wife Jessica, Kenny Wright and wife Nicole, Nathan Adams and wife Gee, Nicholas Adams, William and Caroline Parham, Jacob Turner, and Robert Parham; eight great-grandchildren, Cora Helen Breshears, Morgan, Addison, Lily, Elijah, and Zoey Wright, Klaire Wright, and Blake Kim. Also surviving are her sister, Doris Beeson Faulkner of Camden, sister-in-law Bonnie Smith of Mountain Home, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 9, 2015 in Fordyce, with interment at Temperance Hill Cemetery near Fordyce. Memorials may be sent to the Dallas County Museum, P.O.
