Coy Mae Parker

Coy Mae Parker went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2009, at the age of 88. She was born April 19, 1920, in Willow, Arkansas to Earl and Mertie Kelly. She was married to Murl Riggan, the father of her three children, for 17 years. Coy retired from Hot Spring County Memorial Hospital as a nurse aid. She was a faithful member of South Main Missionary Baptist Church until she suffered a massive stroke on June 17, 2007. Coy enjoyed having lunch at the Senior Adult Center and the Saturday morning breakfast outing with her lady friends.
Coy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Ed Kelly, and a great-grandson Brendon Payne Howell.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Danny Edward Riggan of Malvern, two daughters Dian Howell and husband Bob of Malvern, and Vickey Riggan of Panama, OK; four grandsons, Lance Howell and wife Teresa of Malvern, Sean Howell and wife Misty of Glen Rose, Jason Riggan and wife Dede of Malvern, and Blake Riggan and wife Michelle of Malvern; one granddaughter Holly Hayes of Waxahachie, TX; one great-grandson, Peyton Howell; two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Sydney Riggan; three sisters Verneda Stewart of Magnolia, AR, Pearline Matthews of Carthage, AR and Alyce Bush and husband Lloyd of Malvern; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, from 4pm-6pm.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Brother Glenn Alston at 2pm on Monday, March 9, at South Main Missionary Baptist Church. Burial is in Tulip Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry Bracy, Charles Raines, Ronnie Verser, Allen Pulley, Rodney Pulley, Gene Clements.
