Nell Humphries

Nell Humphries, 68, of Sherwood died Tuesday February 24, 2009 at St. Vincent Medical Center North in Sherwood. Nell (Gran) was the heart of her family. She will be sorely missed by all whom she had touched. Throughout her life she exemplified love and self-sacrifice. Nell is once again walking free from pain, hand in hand with her beloved husband Charles. She was born September 20, 1940 in Dallas County. She was a homemaker and a member of Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Christine Stone Shaddock; husband, Charles E. Humphries. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Donna Humphries of North Little Rock, Todd and Lara Humphries of North Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Dana Bowers of Sherwood; two brothers, James Shaddock of Fordyce, Johnny Shaddock of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren including, Jared Humphries her loving caregiver, and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Burial at Mt.
