Hugh C. Reynolds, 85, of Fordyce died May 6, 2006.
Mr. Reynolds was born August 5, 1920 in Fordyce to the late Hugh Cleveland and Ruth Sisson Reynolds. He was a member of Fordyce First Baptist Church, a Shriner, and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party and recently resigned as Chairman of the Dallas County Democratic Committee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Keenum Reynolds and a brother, William Reynolds. He is survived by a sister, Mary Ruth Creech of Camden; son, Collins Reynolds and wife Janie of Bismark; daughters, Linda Hankins and husband Troy of Pine Bluff, Vickie Gray and husband Paul of Hot Springs; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 9, 2006 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce with Rev. Stacy Reed officiating. Burial at Stoney Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday May 8, 2006 at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. FORDYCE — Hugh C. Reynolds, 85, of Fordyce, died Saturday.
He was born Aug. 5, 1920, at Fordyce, a son of the late Hugh Cleveland and Ruth Sisson Reynolds.
He was a member of the Fordyce Baptist Church and a Shriner.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party and recently resigned as chairman of the Dallas County Democratic Committee.

Survivors include a son, Collins Reynolds of Bismark; two daughters, Linda Hankins of Pine Bluff and Vickie Gray of Hot Springs; a sister, Mary Ruth Creech of Camden; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Benton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
