Mary Ella Brown, 82, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 21, 1921, at Jacinto (Dallas County), a daughter of the late Eugene Shaddock and Clara Bell Mann Shaddock.
She was reared and received her early education at Sparkman (Dallas County).
She was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Brown, whom she married on Oct. 3, 1942, at Sparkman; five brothers, James Shaddock, Leon Shaddock, Raymond Shaddock, Manuel Shaddock and J.B. Shaddock; and one sister, Elsie Wood.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin Brown and Carrol Brown, both of Pine Bluff, three daughters, Mary Freeman and Betty Freeman, both of Pine Bluff, and Lyndell Guthrie of Claremore, Okla.; one brother, Cecil Shaddock of Camden; one sister, Maxine Shambley of Camden; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Pentecostal Church of God with the Revs. Donald Shipley, Charles Scott, Ronald Grundy and Freddie Burcham officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
