Mrs. Bertha Mae Gill Hearne, age 86, of Fordyce died Saturday, February 18 in the Dallas County Hospital. She was born on Dec. 13, 1897 in Dallas County the daughter of George and Martha Cochran Gill. She was a member of the Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Judson A. Hearne and Marlin N. Hearne, both of Fordyce; four daughters, Mrs. Allamerle Raney of Ivan, Mrs. Evelyn Doyle, Mrs. Eddie Mae Lowe and Mrs. Jean Hardman, all of Fordyce; one brother, Edgar Gill of Fordyce; three sisters, Mrs. Meece Williams, Mrs. Alta Beasley and Mrs. Mattie Sisson, all of Fordyce; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 in the Benton Funeral Home by Elder Charles Sandage and Elder Freddy Boen. Burial was in Bucksnort Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home.
