The first Missionary Baptist Church of Carthage, Arkansas was started in 1908 under the leadership of the late Rev. A. G. Stevenson.
Some of the early members in the first church organization were: Henderson Smith, Sarah Smith, Robert Oakley, Granison Taylor, Henry green and Willie Stevenson.
