"Another Corning old-timer, the two-story Adams home which is known to many as the Polk House, is fast disappearing from the corner of Fourth and Olive Streets, across from Central Elementary.  The property was last owned by the late Mrs. Norace (Ora) Adams before it was sold to First Baptist Church.  A spokeman for the church said Friday, that they have no plans for the property and that it was bought mainly because it joins church-owned property."
