"All of the children of Houston and Vestie were born in Warren. All of the men except
John T. (this is my dad and he was too old and had children) saw military service in WWII
along with the two husbands of the girls. All of them returned with military decorations." ~~Dorman Woodall
Taken at my birthday party in 1946
"The boys from left to right are Dorman Woodall (me), my brother John Bruce Woodall, Billy Thompson (friend) and cousin Tommy Frank Woodall.
The house shown in the background was blown away in the tornado of 1949… along with the fence we were sitting on.
I was in our house when it was heavily damaged by the tornado. I escaped serious injury by a miracle because of my moving
to a safe position at the very last moment before it struck the house." ~~Dorman Woodall
