Samuel was the son of Julius and Emily Burke Saunders; Rosa was the daughter of Henry and Nancy Spoon Hill.

Rufus Preston "Pete" Saunders

This is the son of Samuel and Rosa Hill Saunders. He is my grandfather.

Kathleen Roark Saunders

Kathleen Roark at age 15. She later married "Pete" Saunders. Her parents were Andrew and Virginia Randall Roark. This is my grandmother. One of Kathleen's aunts (by marriage to a Randall) still lives here in Warren and is approaching (may already be) 100 years of age.
