Lillie is the daughter of James W. and Amanda Gorman and the older sister of Hettie Gorman Vines.

Lillie Gorman married David M. Copeland in 1905 in Bradley County. They lived in River Township, Bradley County, Arkansas.

In 1926, Lillie married Claude C. Ray of Warren, Texas. Lillie moved to Warren, Texas and that is where he and she died, Claude in 1934, Lillie in 1954.

James' first wife was Amanda Gorman; his second wife was Myra Copeland.

Mary F. Gorman Anders was the wife of Benjamin F. Anders of Bradley County, Arkansas. She was the third child of Simeon and Elizabeth Gorman, born Sept 10, 1856 in Bradley County, Arkansas. Mary had only one marriage, and that was to Benjamin Anders. Mary was 43 when she married. Mary and Benjamin had no children. Mary died on November 13, 1932 in Bradley County, Arkansas at the Anders home. She is buried at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Bradley Co.

Mary's husband, Benjamin F. Anders, served in the Confederate Army, Company B, 36 AR Infantry Regiment. Mary applied in 1912 for his Confederate Pension. After Benjamin Anders died in 1904, Mary lived with her step-children (the children of Benjamin Anders and his first wife) and the children of her brother, James Willis Gorman; Sim, Joseph and Samuel. Mary and Sim worked the farm, while James W., and his sons, Joseph and Samuel worked as swampers in a logging camp. (This info was from the 1920 census)

Benjamin Anders and Mary F. Gorman's marriage was November 25, 1900, Bradley Co., Arkansas Book D, page 544. Benjamin Anders is said to be buried between his two wives at Shady Grove Cemetery.

James W. Gorman is found in the home of Joseph Vann Gorman in Bradley Co., along with his grandmother, Vashti Mariah Gorman, wife of Simpson, in the 1870 census.
